Virginia Ruth Montgomery Coleman Bell

Virginia Ruth Montgomery Coleman Bell, born June 15, 1934 in Patterson, MO to Sylvester G Montgomery and Ella M (Campbell) Montgomery, died peacefully holding hands with her sons on April 18, 2018.

She was the tenth of ten children, five boys and five girls, growing up until age 6 in Patterson, MO. The family then moved to St. Louis, where she attended St. Louis public schools: Baden Elementary, Beaumont High School and Harris Teachers College.

She married Wilburn Coleman on Christmas Eve 1956. They made their home in Richland, WA where they raised three sons together. She is survived by her children: Doug (Terry) Coleman, Mike (Sally) Coleman, Bryan Coleman, and close-as-a-daughter, Maggie Moreno and family; her granddaughter, Melissa Coleman, and step-son Raymond Bell. She also leaves three very special nieces: Barbara Ann Feld of Akron, OH, Patty McCann and family, Debbie Loehding and family, and many grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was preceded in death by her precious fourth niece, Kathy Bundrant, and all of her siblings and her parents.

Virginia was a homemaker, and in 1970 started working as an Administrative Secretary at Clark Jennings & Associates until 1977 when she began working as a Senior Secretary at Exxon Nuclear. 

In 1987 Virginia married Harry D Bell. She is now reunited with him in Heaven.

She was an active member of the Richland Assembly of God. She loved gardening, reading and her dogs: Wizard, Cedric, KimZue, Katie and Guera.

Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
