Marie Wegner

Marie Wegner, 84, of Pasco, WA passed away in May 14, 2018 at her home. She was born in Sterling, KS on August 17, 1933.

Marie grew up in rural Kansas with three bothers. She attended Sterling HS and Sterling College and graduated Fort Hays College with a Teaching Certificate. Marie taught K-8 in a small country school in Newton, KS where she met her future husband Peter.

She enjoyed traveling around the world with her family and friends. Marie achieved a position of office manager for Dr. Douglas Klein in Richland, WA which she was very proud of and retired from that position. She was also a member of West Side United Protestant Church in Richland. Amongst working and a member of her church, Marie donated to charitable organizations, such as: Habitat for Humanity, Union Gospel, the Woman Shelters and her church.

Marie survived by her sons: Michael and his wife Mary and their two daughters, Shannon and Amber and two great-granddaughters; her son David, and son Andrew and his wife April and their children, Rob, Jake and Mandy and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers: Harold, LaVerne and James Tilton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter E. Wegner.

A Family Graveside was held at Sunset Gardens in Richland.
