Winona Irene Edwards, 88, of Richland passed away Wed. May 23 at home.

Winona was born June 8, 1928 in Beaver Oklahoma to Lawrence A. and Florence (Morris) Welsh.

The family moved to the Longview Washington area in 1937, and to Granger Washington in 1941.

Winona graduated from Granger High School in 1946  before moving to Richland, where she

was employed by General Electric.

Winona was married to E.W. (Wayne) Edwards Sep't 17 1949.

A member of Christ the King parish since 1949, all four of her children, and many of her

grandchildren, attended Christ the King School.

Winona is survived by her husband Wayne, her sister Laurel Roberts of Union Gap

her children Stephen (Julie) Eatonville, Lynn (Phil) Urbach, Pasco, Sharon (Larry) Kurz

Richland and Dallas Tx. and Michael (Jan) Spokane.

She is preceeded in death by her parents Lawrence and Florence, and brothers Larry,

and Walter.

Winona was active in prayer groups, enjoyed golf and cards,sewing and reading and 

her grandchildren.
