Pat Johnson, 81 of Richland, WA, passed away on January 31, 2023. Pat was born in Anaconda, MT on May 2, 1941 to Bill and Betty Leonard. She has lived in Richland for the past 60 years.
She liked to go back to her home in Anaconda. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, doing her family genealogy, tending to her dinner-plate Hibiscus plants, and reading books. Pat liked the 1950’s Rock and Roll Music, and Country Music, especially Charley Pride. My parents would meet him in Garrison, MT when they both were traveling home in the early hours. I will never forget the story of when Charley came to play in Pasco, WA and Pat and George went to the concert. A lot of people were rushing onto the stage. Charley looked up and saw them, asking my Dad what the heck they were doing here. My Dad replied, “This is where we live.” Of course every one turned to look at my parents.
Pat is survived by daughter, Sherri Johnson, granddaughter Desiree Johnson, sister-in-law Margo Leonard, nephew Zane Leonard and his wife Jessica, their children Wyatt and Ellie; and cousins Skip Ulver and Joyce Liddell. She is preceded in death by her husband George Johnson, grandson Christopher Eliason, parents Bill and Betty Leonard, brother Dexter Leonard, and best friend Gale Hansen.
A Public Viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023; at Einan’s at Sunset Chapel from 4:00pm-5:00pm.
A Graveside Service will follow on Thursday, February 9, 2023; at Einan’s Sunset Memorial Gardens from 2:00pm-3:00pm.
