Send FlowersI loved Velma Clement Roberts Carlisle. She was a sweet, kind, loving woman who survived 2 husbands. She is missed by many no doubt. i was in the Columbia Ward with her from 1979 to 1993.
I was not aware of her passing in 2023.
Velma was the first woman I met when we moved into the Columbia Ward.
I introduced myself to her, and she asked where I was from. I told her a small town in southeast Idaho that nobody ever knows.
She said “Try me.”
I said I am from Lewisville.
And Velma got a huge grin on her face and said “I know exactly where that is! I am from Roberts!”
That was all it took for us to become friends.
I loved being her ministering sister companion and going to DUP with her.
Velma was a genuinely kind and loving soul and I am grateful I had the opportunity to know her.
