Aaron Owe Berg

Aaron Owe Berg was born April 18th, 1980, in Tacoma, WA to Owe & Kathleen Berg. He was the first and only boy of Kathy’s and quickly became her favorite, as we always joked. Aaron joined his half-brother Todd, and sister’s Heidi and Hollie. Heidi remembers a time when their dad, an avid WWF fan, took the 3 of them to a WWF fight at the Tacoma Dome. It inspired them to create a wrestling show of their own, that reenacted the coolest fight moves and led to some epic wrestling matches in their living room.  They had a blast knocking each other around.  Aaron spent the first 10 years of his life in Tacoma, growing up closely with his “sister-cousins”, Genna and Dory. They spent many summers at Titlow Beach, having family picnics and swimming in the Puget Sound. Aaron remained the favorite until he was 8, when his sister Amy arrived, and then a few years later, Kari. The Berg siblings grew up as a very close-knit family, celebrating holidays and birthdays together, going camping, and enjoying family vacations to the Oregon Coast, and Disneyland. As the only boy in a house full of girls, Aaron held his own and playfully teased his sisters, always keeping the atmosphere light and humorous. He loved fishing and hunting for nightcrawlers in the backyard. But what he truly had a deep love for, was cars; whether he was wrenching, cleaning, or driving them, he was truly in his element.  When Aaron was 10 years old, the family moved to Richland, WA. Aaron attended Carmichael Middle School & Richland High School where he met his first love and forever friend, Amanda. Soon after turning 18, Aaron moved to Seattle.  While in Seattle, he found a job at an autobody shop doing what he loved, traveled the world, and made lifelong friends. One of Amy’s favorite memories of Aaron was when he would come back into town and pick her up from school in a new fancy car. Aaron returned to Richland in his mid-30s to spend more time with his parents and siblings. He was also able to help his Uncle Gary be a caregiver for his Grandma Bev.  Kari and Aaron grew close during this time, and you usually would not see one without the other. Aaron always attended family functions in his own unique way and loved playing with his nieces and nephews, where he was referred to as “Uncle Urn”. When Aaron fell ill, his sisters were by his side as he took his final breath. They will forever cherish that special moment, knowing he let go of the pain and went to say hi to Mom from all of us.

He is survived by his dad Owe, sister’s Heidi, Hollie, Amy & Kari, brother Todd, brother in laws, Dave & Matt, nieces Bailee (Jason), Sierra (Devin), Gracie, Sophia, Rianna, Railey, Taylynn & Skyla, nephews Austin, Terrin, Kash, Everette & Cameron, uncles Gary, Aril & Terje, aunts Karen, Amy, Jane & Cheryl. Along with many cousins, friends and partners. Aaron is proceeded in death by his mom Kathy, grandma Beverly, grandpa Chester, Grandma Dagney, Grandpa Norman, uncle Eivind, and childhood friend Andrew.
