Rosetta “Rose” Ann Logston, 74, of Pasco, Washington, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025.
Rose was born to Webster and Mary Goodnight on January 10, 1951, at her parents’ home in Douglas County, Missouri. The family moved to Kennewick when she was two. She was the oldest of Webster and Marys’ seven children and a lifelong Tri-Cities resident. As a child, Rose enjoyed playing jacks, agate hunting, and adventuring in the Horse Heaven Hills. She graduated from River View High School, where she played basketball, sang in the choir, and was a member of the student council.
Rose met her husband, Marshall Logston, in 1995 while driving for Ben Franklin Transit. They married on June 5, 2004. Rose and Marshall enjoyed riding their Harley around the country and visiting national parks. Rose was an avid quilter; she enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, a good movie with popcorn, and she dearly loved her little dog, Zeva.
Rose is survived and missed by her loving husband, Marshall Logston; daughter, Jennifer Nowak (Curtis); son, Ernie Shoemaker (Jamie); stepdaughter, Krista Mackey (Mike); stepson, Bradley Logston (Tanya); eleven grandchildren: Katie Nowak, Tatum Johns (Clayton), Sam Staley (Tyler), Leland Shoemaker, Kaylee Mackey, Christian Reno (Chloe), Maggie Logston, Ashlyn Mackey, Matt Logston, Holly Nowak, and Korbin Shoemaker; and one great-grandson, Beckett Johns.
She is forever cherished and remembered by her six siblings: Steve Goodnight (Charlene), Charles Goodnight, Joe Goodnight (Terri), Bev Goodnight, Charlotte Ochoa (Nick), and Teresa Nelson (Steve). Aunt “Zetta Rose’s” memory lives on with her thirteen nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her parents Webster and Mary Goodnight.
A celebration of Rose’s life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Sunset Gardens in Richland, Washington. Interment begins at 1:00 p.m., with the reception following immediately after from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

You will be missed
❤️
you will be greatly missed
I worked with Rose at BFT, and always appreciated her smile, sense of humor, and being a straight shooter, but never offensive. I’ll never forget the technique she showed me to get rid of the frequent headaches that plagued me. It still works! 🥰 My deepest condolences to you, Marshall and the family. I’m sorry for your loss.
I remember years ago first meeting Rose, her smile and personality were outstanding. when I worked in dispatch, she had bought everyone a gift from her trip to Germany . that gift has now been given down to my great granddaughter. and she cherishes it dearly.
Rose, you will definitely be missed in everyone’s lives. You were a joy that brought happiness to everyone you met .
I am truly blessed to be a part of the Goodnight family. Love you Rosetta 💟💟.
My deepest condolences to Marshall and family. It was a pleasure knowing Rose and working with her.
