Eleanor K. Sevigny

Eleanor Katherina Sevigny, born on July 20, 1933, in Bismarck, North Dakota and passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandparent and friend who modeled the importance of family throughout her life.
Eleanor spent many years as a talented cook, serving the Richland School District, where she was honored for her commitment in supporting school nutrition.
She was deeply passionate about her family, finding joy in supporting and encouraging her children and their pursuits, as well as those of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eleanor’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, as she instilled the importance of kindness, health and nutrition in the lives of many children.
In addition to her devotion to her family and career, Eleanor had a vibrant personality that shone through her many hobbies and activities. She was a skilled baker and seamstress and had a great love for gardening and fitness activities, including golf, water aerobics, square dancing, and polka dancing. Eleanor also enjoyed bowling, tennis and monthly card parties, often sharing laughs and camaraderie with friends and family alike.
Eleanor graduated from Davis High School in Yakima Washington and married her life-long partner, Leonard Sevginy, on July 2, 1955. Leonard and Eleanor were celebrated 69 years of marriage and were blessed with 6 children; son- Gregory Sevigny (Wanda), son- Gary Sevigny (Nancy), daughter- Laure Quaresma (Jerry), daughter – Cheryl Riddelle (Jeff), daughter- Michelle Redden (Rick), daughter -Karla Perry (Jon), 18 grandchildren; Ryan Sevigny, Nikki Rogers, Amy Clifford, Whitney Williams, Jaime Toon, John Quaresma, James Riddelle, Paige Riddelle, Kendall Mehinagic, Nathan Sevigny, Aaron Sevigny, Jason Sevigny, Derek Redden, Bradford Redden, Jacob Redden, McCall Redden, Gabriel Perry, Michael Perry and 10 great grandchildren; Riley Rogers, Braden Rogers, Teagan Rogers, Grace Sevigny, Jude Sevigny, Koa Cifford, Kalia Clifford, Nora Sevigny, Sophia Williams, Rhaegar Redden and baby Toon on the way.
Eleanor’s memory will be held dear by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and a spirit of encouragement that will continue to inspire her family for generations to come. Her presence will be missed, but her impact on the lives of others will not be forgotten.
Eleanor Sevigny and was preceded in death by her husband; Leonard, parents; Balsar and Cecile (Wentz) Garman, 4 siblings; Kenneth Garman, Dick Garman, Jim Garman, Florence McGuire and grandson; John Quaresma.

*The Funeral Mass for Eleanor Katherina Sevigny will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Richland, Washington on May 30 at 12:00 with a Rosary at 11:30 proceeding the Funeral Mass.
*Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland Washington
*Memorial donations can be made in Eleanor’s name to support Alzheimer’s and Dementia Research (Alzheimer &Dementia Research https://www.alz.org)
