Gary Roland Snow
Gary Roland Snow, Age 81, went home to be with the Lord on June 20, 2025. He was born on July 31, 1943 to Charlie and Wilma Snow in Searcy, Arkansas. His family moved to Richland, WA in 1953 where he grew up. He was raised in the Southern Baptist church and his faith was an important part of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Carolyn, daughters Amy Baxter and Jill Snow, granddaughter Mckenna Baxter, sister Fern Newton, brother Charles (Donna) Snow, sister Faye (Larry) Wiggins, sister-in-law Darlene Snow and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Wilma Snow, his brother Randy Snow and brother-in-law Ralph Newton.
Gary graduated from Columbia High School in Richland, WA in 1961 and went on to graduate from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX. After he graduated college, he was drafted to serve his country during the Vietnam war in the U.S. Army where he served proudly.
After he served, he went to work for McDonnell Douglas Corp. where he met and married the love of his life Carolyn Johnson. He went on to work for several Hanford contractors and retired from Fluor Federal Services.
He took pride in his lawn and growing a vegetable garden every year. He loved to talk and share stories. He enjoyed meeting people and getting to know them. He made many good friends and was always ready to help anyone in need.
He loved his family and was always there for us. He especially loved to be a part of his wonderful granddaughter’s life and watch her grow up. He was a great husband, dad, papa and brother.
We thank God to have had Gary a part of our lives through these years. We will always love and miss him.

Gary was a good man. my daughter Amy played softball with Jill and often has said he was among her favorite coaches. we lost touch as the kids grew up, but goodness doesn’t fade.
I worked with Mr. Snow’s daughter Jill on the VIT Project. We were coworkers and friends until my retirement in 2014. My wife Linda and I wish to express our deepest condolences and prayers for the family.
My wife an I lived across from Gary for a little over a year, in that time we made a lasting friendship. Gary was like another dad to me and for the last 15 years we talked on the phone at least a few times a year, we talked about family, gardening, and politics. Gary was such a friendly and welcoming person and will be deeply missed by me and everyone that has know him. I wish peace and love to Gary’s family and friends, I can truly say that my life has been so much better having Gary in my life.
So sorry to hear this, as he was such a wonderful classmate, family friend, and brother to great friends Faye and Larry, and the fun we all shared. What a great family, and he will certainly be missed. Hugs, and prayers,
Mary & Ken Roberts
I worked with Gary at the Hanford site. He was such a pleasant person to know and work with.. We had a lot of laughs and stories going on at Hanford. Gary was so proud of his wife and children and talked a lot about them. Gary, you will be missed by all.
was very sorry to hear of his passing. He was an enormous help to my dad, keeping him company and sharing stories. He also helped me when a tree fell in my yard. Gary was a very kind man.
We first met Gary when our daughter Jocelyn and his daughter Jill played summer softball together. My late husband Bill and Gary were the coaches, and they made it so much fun! We travelled all over for games and tournaments, with lots of success and joy. Those were indeed the days! Gary was a kind and happy man who clearly loved and enjoyed his family. My condolences to Carolyn, Amy and Jill.
