Cynthia Kirkbride

Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Kirkbride, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated nurse, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on July 22, 1955, in Portland, Oregon, Cindy made her home in Kennewick, Washington, where she touched many lives throughout her career and personal endeavors. She was deeply loved and appreciated by all who knew her.

With a bachelor’s degree in nursing, Cindy spent her career serving in various roles within the medical field. Her compassionate nature led her to work in doctors’ offices, the school system, nursing homes, and the Grace Clinic in Kennewick, where she found great satisfaction in helping others. Her passion for nursing was matched only by her commitment to her family, community, and unwavering faith. Cindy’s optimism and generous spirit were constants in the lives of those around her.

A familiar presence at Bethel Church, Cindy volunteered for various programs, from youth activities to serving faithfully on the tech team for Sunday services. She approached this role with a quiet commitment to excellence, preparing diligently so that song lyrics and sermon slides would not distract congregants from their worship of the Lord or from the clear presentation of God’s Word. She could always be counted on-if Cindy said she would be there, she was.

Cindy was also known for her deep and joyful faith, rooted in a strong personal relationship with Jesus. She served as a prayer buddy and warrior for many friends, consistently lifting others up in their times of need. She found great delight in joyful, reflective writings about faith that enriched her spiritual journey and encouraged those around her.

Cindy found immense joy in her role as a grandmother. She cherished the unique and close relationships she developed with each of her grandchildren, who brought her endless delight and love. In her leisure time, Cindy enjoyed reading historical biographies and non-fiction, often finding inspiration and insight through the stories of others.

Cindy is survived by her devoted husband, Randy Kirkbride; her children, Amy Wilcox, Kimberly Rivera, and Daniel Kirkbride; sons-in-law Wade Wilcox and Roberto Rivera; daughter-in-law Katie Kirkbride; her cherished grandchildren: Karina, Dakota, Layla, Lydia, Finn, Ezekiel, Enoel, and Daniella; her sisters: Sue Maslen and Cheri Millers; and brother: Rick Barnes.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Barnes and Marjorie Barnes.

The Memorial service will be held at Bethel Church (600 Shockly Rd. Richland, WA) on Friday 8/15/25 at 4pm with a reception following light refreshments will be provided in the Bethel Hub.

Cindy’s legacy of faith, service, and love for her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to Grace Clinic (www.gracecliniconline.org) or Mirror Ministries (https://www.mirror-ministries.org).
