Daniel Max Bennett
With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel Max Bennett, born June 8, 2006, who left us too soon on August 10, 2025. Daniel is the son of Max and Jennifer Bennett, and brother of Sarah and Thomas. Daniel’s vibrant spirit, adventurous heart, and deep love for his family will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A passionate adventurer, Daniel was known for his love of cycling and rock climbing. Whether it was exploring rugged trails or climbing at the gym, Daniel thrived in testing his skills and strength, finding peace and exhilaration in nature’s challenges. Daniel almost always carried a frisbee and loved to get people to join in. It was one way he actively searched out others to be included in his circle of friends. His energy, enthusiasm, smile, and fearlessness inspired all who shared in his adventures.
Daniel attained the rank of Eagle Scout and was dedicated to serving others. He served a faithful mission to Pittsburgh, PA and continued supporting missionaries from his home ward and those that continued serving in the Pittsburgh mission. He was studying marketing at BYU-Idaho.
Daniel loved music of all types. He was an accomplished trombone player and had recently taken up drumming, with aspirations to participate in a rock band. Daniel had an adventurous palate, seeking out the heat and pain in spicy foods with joy. His love of good food was matched only by his love for those closest to him. Daniel cherished his family deeply, and his bond with them was unbreakable. He was a son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew and friend whose warmth, kindness, and humor touched the lives of everyone he met.
Daniel’s infectious smile, generous heart, adventurous spirit, and sense of humor will live on in the memories of his family and friends. While his time with us was far too brief, the impact he had on the lives of those who knew him will never fade. He leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and the reminder to live life fully and fearlessly.
A celebration of life will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1321 Jadwin Ave, Richland, WA 99352 on August 22, 2025 at 10 am. Daniel’s burial will be held at Taylor Cemetery located at 720 E 129 S, Idaho Falls, ID 83404 at 3pm local time on August 23, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to a mental health cause or charity or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Aid Fund https://donate.churchofjesuschrist.org/contribute/church/humanitarian-services/humanitarian-aid-fund?cde2=475.
Daniel is preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael C. Bennett, and his uncle, Kemp Sargis. He is survived by his parents, Max and Jennifer, his siblings, Sarah and Thomas, grandparents Joyce Bennett of Hansen, Idaho and Sahuarita, Arizona, David and Arlene Sargis of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and many aunts and uncles and cousins, who all love him dearly.
Nora and Wayne , the Smith family. We really miss Daniel. When he was working at Wendy’s. We always went to the drive-through just to see Daniel. He called me one time to help him with his car to unlock it because he locked his keys in the car but could not unlock his car I’m not a professional thief. He would’ve went home instead of waiting for Locksmith stuff that Nora and I remember of Daniel God bless him and take care

We had the privilege of knowing Daniel Bennett and his lovely family when they lived in Cody, WY. Our favorite story (memory) about Daniel is that he would go outside at their home and play his trombone and all the cows in the field beyond would come up to the fence and listen to the music!!
Daniel was a unique and wonderful individual.
Max,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family

Daniel was one of the highlights of our seminary class. He brought so much energy and genuineness into any room he walked into- he always made time for the people in our class that were struggling to make friends. He left a beautiful imprint on so many lives. He will be missed, but the memories had with him will be cherished even more so❤️.
Love and prayers for you all -Doug W
