Michael Wayne Isdell
Michael Wayne Isdell, born on May 13, 1956, in Seattle, WA, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on September 20, 2025, in Richland, WA.
Michael was an avid outdoorsman, he found joy in nature through hunting, fishing, and riding four-wheelers at the family’s mountain property. For decades, he cherished the moments spent in the great outdoors, whether hunting with a bow or rifle or casting a line with his family. Those adventures were an integral part of their bond, filled with laughter and shared stories that will be remembered fondly. Michael also enjoyed sharing the outdoors with friends he made along the way.
Michael’s mechanical inclination led him to be a skilled boilermaker; Michael proudly worked for the boilermaker union locals 104 and 242. At home, his passion for hands on work continued. He loved to weld and work on vehicles including his beloved jeep. Michael had a deep passion for food, he took great pride in tending to the garden and found joy in barbecuing delicious meals for his family and friends.
He is survived by his devoted spouse, Janice Isdell, and five children. He is preceded in death by his parents Lorraine Wilkinson and Eugene Isdell, his son Jeffery Johansen and his siblings. Michael’s resilient spirit will forever shine through the memories and experiences he shared with his family and friends. His love for adventure and the joy he brought to those around him will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Michael’s life was a testament to living fully and embracing what one loves.
Janice, I am so sorry to hear that Mike had passed away. It’s been along time since I enjoyed his and your company. I know that Mike had a special place in our hearts and I enjoyed being around him. Many a good memory and special times spent those many years ago!
I hope the grace of GOD gives you peace knowing that you will see him again in a better world. I am so sorry for your lost.
I hope all is well with the rest of the family and I hope things go smothly in this time of need.
I have very fond memories fishing with Mike and Dennis Tall. When we Heard of his death another friend of Mikes ( Terry Burnett) dedicated our day of fishing and the salmon we caught to him. So very sorry for your loss.
