From West Richland, WA
Jackie Richmond
With deep love and profound sorrow, the family of Jackie Richmond announces her passing. After moving around the state of Washington and spending years in Seattle, Jackie returned to Richland, Washington, where she was born and spent nearly all her years in the Tri-Cities community that shaped her and that she, in turn, enriched with her warmth, creativity, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. A proud graduate of Richland High School, Jackie cherished her Bomber roots. She remained actively involved long after her student days, joyfully assisting in the planning of school reunions.
Jackie built a long and dedicated career at GESA Credit Union, where she worked with professionalism, generosity of spirit, and a genuine care for the people she served. She retired from GESA leaving behind many colleagues who counted her as both a friend and a trusted presence.
Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bill and Wilma Richmond, whose memory she honored through the deep love she poured into her family. She is survived by her devoted siblings – Ginny Ross (Dan), Cindy Ewing, Pam Bradley (Ron), and Mike Richmond. As well as by the many nieces, great-niece and great-nephews who adored her: Doni Conner; Shannon Dickhaus (Brady), Danelle Zavala (Felipe), Carly Lee (Chris), Kayla Ewing, Veronica Bradley (Jake) and the younger generation she championed so proudly: Carter Dickhaus, Logan Dickhaus, Natalie Dickhaus, Theo Zavala and Miles Zavala.
Jackie was known for her extraordinary creativity. Over the years she crafted countless beautiful decorations, handmade cards, and personalized gifts-each one crafted with love, each one treasured by its recipient. Her artistic spirit added brightness to every celebration and left tangible reminders of her thoughtfulness in the homes and hearts of her family.
A passionate sports fan, Jackie followed the Mariners and Seahawks with enthusiasm, but her greatest joy was cheering for her nieces and great-niece and nephews. Whether on the sidelines of school games or in the stands of local events, she was their loyal supporter, affectionately known as their “biggest fan.”
Family was the heart of Jackie’s world. She played an essential role in every gathering, every milestone, and every tradition. Her Christmas Eve dessert and game nights, which she lovingly hosted for many years, became cherished highlights of the season – moments of laughter, warmth, and togetherness that will be remembered always. Jackie’s legacy is one of kindness, loyalty, creativity, and steadfast love. She leaves behind a family forever grateful for her presence in their lives and for the countless ways she showed them what it means to love wholeheartedly. She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever held close in the hearts of all who knew her.
I am so sad to miss Jackie’s memorial, but I will be visiting my daughter in California.
I enjoyed visiting with & being with Jackie through the years. I knew her as a fun & sweet person, who cared about others & was especially close to her family. She will be greatly missed.
