Jimmie Trevis

Jimmie Lee Trevis passed away peacefully on November 13th, 2025, in Kennewick, Washington at the age of 86.

He was born on October 20th, 1939, to Edward and Opal Trevis in Hollister, California; the second of five children. He attended White Swan High School where he met the love of his life, Marilyn Ann, and they were married in November 1958. Jim served in the United States Navy as a Radioman.

Jim and Marilyn settled in The Dalles, Oregon, building a beautiful life together and raising their two sons, Rick and Tim. Jim worked for almost 40 years as a metallurgist at the aluminum plants. Jim took pride in his work and will be remembered for his slogan “Do your work cheerfully!” A motto he lived out himself.

Jim was a good, kind man. He enjoyed the family, volunteering in his community, fishing with his son and grandson, camping with his family, working in his yard, playing cribbage with his good friend, Ray Chrisman, laughing with his daughter-in-law, working on a good puzzle, and enjoying time with his wife on their deck.

He and Marilyn were married for 67 years, together for over 70, and he loved her dearly until the very end. The two relocated to the Tri Cities in 2022, to be closer to family, though their hearts and home will forever remain in The Dalles.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marilyn, his son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Tammie Trevis; his grandchildren; Timmer (Alexis) Trevis and Hannah (Seth) Gorham; two great grandchildren, Charlie and Colbie Gorham, one more on the way this spring; and many extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his oldest son, Richard Arthur Trevis.

Jim took pride in his family, his work ethic, and his relationship with the Lord. He will be missed dearly, and is home with his Savior. A memorial will be held at a later date.
