John “Jack” Miller
John “Jack” Miller, 87, of Richland, WA, passed away on November 26, 2025. He was born
on August 28, 1938, in King County, WA, to Homer Eugene Miller and Margarete Lucille
Micklam.
Jack spent most of his adult life in the Kittitas Valley, where he built a remarkable life
through hard work and dedication. Over the years, he worked as a logger, Sears Service
Repairman, farmer, and developer, always bringing his strong work ethic and commitment
to each endeavor.
Jack was preceded in death by his beloved son, John; his grandson Curtis; his parents; and
his siblings Don, Diane Prinzhorn, Geraldine Wood, David, and Michael. He is survived by
his devoted wife of 67 years, Darlene; his brother Homer “Pinky” Miller; his daughter-in-law
Ellie (John), his sons Rick (Karen), and Don (Jennifer), as well as many cherished
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jack will be remembered for his laughter and engagement in the community and the
warmth he brought to everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family,
friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
There will be a graveside service for family and friends at IOOF Cemetery in Ellensburg at 1
PM on Saturday, December 13th. A reception will follow at The Mercer Creek Church.
