Kenneth Bentley

We lost our beloved father, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend, Kenneth Bentley, on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

Ken was born August 26, 1931 in Gibsonville, Idaho. He spent his early years in Salmon, Idaho, before making the selfless decision to join the United States Navy, where he proudly served during the Korean War.

Following his military service, Ken settled in Richland before moving to Lakewood, Washington, where he began his career at Boeing. He remained with Boeing until his retirement in 1993.

Ken loved the outdoors and cherished camping, fishing, boating, and waterskiing with his family at the sand dunes of O’Sullivan Reservoir. After retiring, Ken and his wife moved to the Potholes area, which remained their home base as they traveled throughout the United States and spent winters in Yuma, Arizona, surrounded by friends.

Ken was a man who always put family and friends first. He loved family gatherings and took great pride in his beautifully green grass. He will be remembered for his devotion to those he loved and the joy he found in spending time together.

Ken was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Lucille Bentley. He is survived by his sister, Bess; his children, Rod, Patty, Karen, Kenny, Tony, Debbie, Pam and Steve. Ken was also blessed with 23 amazing grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren that will miss him dearly.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 11:00 am at Memories at Sunset Event Center in Richland, WA.
