Kyra McGrady-Siefken: A Life of Creativity and Courage 

March 21, 1962 – November 13, 2025 

Kyra McGrady-Siefken, 63, of Richland, WA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2025, in Kennewick, WA, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 21, 1962, in Powell, Wyoming Kyra was the daughter of Marilyn and Verle McGrady. In 1971 the family moved to Tri Cities, WA after her father accepted a position as a baker at Rosauers.

Kyra was known for her vibrant spirit, creativity, and determination. She taught those who knew her the true meaning of perseverance after her diagnosis with Alzheimer’s. A woman of many talents, Kyra loved sewing, crocheting, baking, and photography. She found great happiness in traveling, especially during her visits to the Oregon Coast and Hawaii.

Kyra’s legacy is carried on through her beloved family. She was a loving mother to four children: David Stewart (Cheri) of West Richland, WA; Therese Oyola (William) of Pasco, WA; Jermey Duncan (Amy Lytton) of Easton, WA; and Zak Duncan (Tonya) of Richland, WA. She also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were a deep source of pride and joy for her and her former husband, Scott Siefken.

Kyra was called home, with her loving family by her side, after spending the past couple of years at Callaway Gardens Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Kennewick, where she received compassionate care. We would like to give a big thank you to the staff at Callaway Gardens and the team of Hospice nurses. We’re forever grateful for the care Kyra received.

She is survived by her mother, Marilyn Fetzer-Larson; her siblings, Jodi Buckles (John) and Rocky McGrady (Trisha); her four children-David (Cheri), Therese (William), Jermey (Amy), and Zak (Tonya); her grandchildren- Christina, Darbie, Lane, Hayden, Paycie, Evan, Cameron, Paytin, Olivia, Rhianna, Charlee, William, Rylee, Ella, Marcus, Kinley, and Colby; her great-grandchild Malakai; as well as her extended family and many friends who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her father, Verle McGrady.

A Celebration of Life honoring Kyra will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. at Einan’s Event Center, 915 Bypass Hwy, Richland, WA 99352. All who were touched by her life are warmly welcomed to attend and share memories.
