Michele Jennifer Olsen (Barnes), age 57, passed away on December 16th, 2025, in Cleveland, OH following complications of heart surgery.

Michele J Olsen was born on November 4,1968 in Tacoma, WA to Gordon W Barnes and Ann Johnson.
Michele graduated from South Whidbey High School in 1987 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University in 1998. She started her career in Food Packaging Sales and worked for many major food packaging companies throughout her career.

Michele married Clark Olsen on February 24th, 2001, in Poulsbo, WA. They made their home in Maple Valley, WA and later moved to Richland, WA.

Michele was best known for her great laugh, her special friendships, plus her love of horses, her dogs and her pride & joy breeding and showing AKC Newfoundland dogs. Her Grand Champion male Wesley, and Champion female Stevie had their first litter last spring which brough great joy to Michele as she cared for and placed each of the eight puppies in loving homes.
Those that knew Michele were aware of her quickness to laugh and ability to see the humor in things, in addition she was a loyal friend and always seeking the best in those around her which made her a pleasure. She had a knack to lift those that she touched and she was a special gift to all.

Michele is survived by her husband Clark, her mother Ann, her sister Nicole Bozlee, and her brother Eric Johnson.

Michele is preceded in death by father Gordon Barnes and numerous Aunts and Uncles.

The Celebration of Life for Michele will be held on April 11, 2026 at 10AM at Sunset Gardens in Richland, WA
