Steven D. Koleber
Steven Dean Koleber, born on May 15, 1952, in Richland, WA, passed away on December 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication. Steve proudly served as a Corporal in the Marines before devoting nearly 26 years of his life to the Kennewick Fire Department, where he found his passion and a brotherhood that enriched his life and the lives of those around him. His commitment to serving others was evident not only in his career but also in his everyday life.
An avid outdoorsman, Steve cherished his time on the water and the slopes. He delighted in boating, water skiing, and snow skiing, always seeking adventure and the thrill of nature. Camping and fishing were among his favorite pastimes, where he created countless memories with family and friends. Known for being an amazing cook, Steve had a knack for throwing barbecues that could feed a small army, ensuring that no one left his home hungry. He loved gathering his loved ones for any occasion, basking in the joy of their company.
Steve is survived by his beloved family, including his daughter Amy (Dan) Morby, son Jonathan (Michelle) Koleber, stepchildren Nikki (Nic) Reynolds, and grandchildren Skyler, Curtis, Sydney, and great-granddaughter Capri. He also leaves behind his brothers Michael and Paul (Sharon) Koleber, and step-grandchildren Peyton, Evey, and Sloane. Each of them carries cherished memories of his warmth and humor.
A Celebration of Life will take place on January 9, 2026 at 1:30 PM at Einan’s at Sunset Event Center. As we gather to honor Steve’s remarkable life, we invite all who knew and loved him to join in a tribute filled with joy and remembrance of the exceptional person he was.
