Carol Diane Johnson, born on December 27, 1943, in Durant Oklahoma. Carol passed away on January 7, 2026 in Richland, Washington, at the age of 82. She was a devoted wife to Donald Johnson and a loving mother to her five children. She had a professional career as an Administrative Assistant alongside her husband for Bechtel. Carol Cherished her family and embraced the adventures that life brought their way. Throughout her life, she shared many memorable moments traveling across the country with her family. a necessity due to Don’s Career that required frequent relocations.

Each summer, Carol looked forward to their yearly visits to Lake Chelan and Soda Springs where they would fish and camp with their kids. Carol of course always caught the biggest fish, no matter how hard Don tried to beat her. This was a tradition that brought joy and many bonding moments to the family. Additionally, she held fond memories of boating in the San Juans and visiting the Washington and Oregon coasts.

Carol is survived by her husband, Donald Johnson, her sons, Chris Gard, Matthew Johnson, Eric Johnson, and David Johnson and one daughter Catherine Wright. She also had eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Carols warm spirit and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her life is honored through the memories she created with her loved ones.

Carol was preceded in death by: Ruby Walker (Mother), Wesley Walker (Father), Evelyn Stanley (Sister), Margaret Templeton (Sister) and Ethan Gard (Grandson).

There will be a celebration of life at Carol’s residence in Richland, WA from 1pm to 4pm. This will be a time to come and share funny, loving memories with Carols family.
