In Loving Memory of Susan May Wiegman May 31, 1950 – January 28, 2026
Susan May Wiegman, born on May 31, 1950, to Mary and Henry Wilson, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and unwavering love. Raised alongside her siblings Lois, Gail, and Hank, Susan grew up in a family rooted in connection and resilience. Though Lois and Hank preceded her in passing, their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
For the past 46 years, Susan made her home in Richland, where she built a life filled with purpose, laughter, and deep devotion to the people she loved. She took great pride in her career as an administrative assistant, a role in which she brought organization, dedication, and her signature blend of gentle spirit and spicy wit.
Susan’s greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her daughters, Becky and Julie, who were the center of her world, and by her beloved grandchildren-Braydon, Aliza, and Ellen-who brought her immeasurable happiness. To them, she was not just a Nana but a source of sunshine, encouragement, and unconditional love. Her sister Gail, along with numerous nieces and nephews, will forever cherish her memory and the warmth she brought into their lives.
Susan loved the sunshine, and in many ways, she embodied it-bright, steady, and comforting. Her gentle nature made others feel safe and understood. She had a way of making ordinary moments feel special, simply by being herself.
Her family and friends will remember her for her kindness, her humor, and the deep love she carried for those fortunate enough to be part of her life. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love she leaves behind.
May her memory be a blessing, and may she rest in peace surrounded by the sunshine she adored.
Susan was our secretary at Westinghouse for several years. As a reward for massive effort in a project for the group, I took her on a sightseeing flight around the Tri Cities. During the flight, around dusk, she took a flash picture of me. I was temporarily blinded, but the plane was trimmed and flew itself for the minute or so it took to get my vision back. It was not a problem, and we had a good laugh about it. Susan was very special to all of us!
Julie,
I am so sorry for the loss of your mom.
Praying for peace and comfort as you and your family navigate this difficult time.
Take care Friend❤️

Susan will be missed greatly by all of us who had a chance to know and love her. She was a loving and caring person to friends and family. She definitely loved her girls and adored her grandchildren. She always had a big smile and a unique voice that greeted me with warmth, kindness and love like I was part of the family. I’m so thankful she was a part of my family’s life and we all had a chance to know her.
I worked with Susan when she was attendance secretary at Hanford High School. She was so good to all the kids there and really enjoyed them and all their excuses for being late or absent! She was so proud of and involved with her daughters, especially softball! She was such a happy, smiling presence. You will miss her every day.
