Virginia Wisniewski

Virginia “Ginni” Wisniewski, age 73, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, in Richland, Washington.

Ginni was born on January 22, 1953, in Munich, Germany, to Thomas C. Wisniewski and Hedwig “Heidi” Meyer-Wisniewski. As the daughter of a United States Air Force serviceman, her early life was shaped by travel and adventure. Her family lived in France before eventually settling in the United States, making their home in Moses Lake, Washington.

She graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1971. Shortly after, Ginni proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, serving three years stationed in San Diego, California. Her time in the Navy reflected the independence, courage, and resilience that defined her throughout her life. After an honorable discharge, she returned to Moses Lake, where she later married classmate Thomas Noga. Though the marriage was brief, together they shared two children: daughter Michelle Watt and son David Noga.

Known affectionately as “Gigi,” Ginni found her greatest joy in her grandchildren, Ashlee Findlay, Nolan Watt, and Mason Noga, who were a constant source of love, laughter, and pride.

A self-proclaimed gypsy at heart, Ginni was happiest exploring new places and traveling the open road without an itinerary. Arizona was where her soul flourished and she created a family from the friends she met while snow birding, so she made Yuma her home in the last few years.

She embraced life with curiosity and creativity, turning other people’s junk into treasures and finding beauty where others might not look. She loved carving wood pieces, fishing, rock hounding, decorating her space, playing bingo, visiting casinos, and working on her beloved “Gypsy Gem”—her RV.

Above all, Ginni loved her family and friends fiercely. She gained a sister at heart in her best friend of 64 years, Cathe Herbert (Chudomelka).

Ginni is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Josh)Watt of Richland; her son, David Noga (Amanda)of Kennewick; her brothers, Dan Wisniewski and Tom Wisniewski (Jeanne) her nieces Julie Hafen, Meredith Wisniewski, Sydney Wisniewski; and her grandchildren, Ashlee Findlay (Hannah Carver), Nolan Watt, and Mason Noga. Her Arizona family and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hedwig (Heidi) Wisniewski-Blagg, and her father, Thomas C. Wisniewski.

Though Ginni has left this world, her memory, her creativity, her wandering spirit, and love—will continue to travel with those who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your favorite charity.

  • My mother and Ginni became good friends, as single mothers and neighbors. She, Michelle and David lived a few buildings down, “On the Green” đź’š, Richland.
My mom wasn’t always the best at making friends. But a knack for recognizing quality, unique, intelligent, traveled and interesting people, she was drawn to Ginni.
I remember those days fondly, especially the camaraderie of us Apartment brats. Michelle was so eboliant and funny , a delightful cheerful product of a wonderful mother. David, well, it was 3 sassy girls to one boy ,and God bless him, he still managed to tease us.
Ginni was an excellent and patient mom, with a great sense of humor. She and my mom would laugh and laugh for hours at each other’s kitchen table. I’m glad they had each other for support and that we had each other, too.
I’m here for you Michelle and David xo f

  • Not goodbye… just until we meet again.

We keep thinking about all the moments—big and small—that made us us. The work we shared, the miles we drove with the music blaring and the wind whipping through our hair. The laughs that left us breathless, the tears we didn’t have to explain, the goofy moments that needed no reason.

We sat and talked for hours—sometimes over coffee, sometimes in our pajamas, sometimes just sitting, being. Old Blue—Steve’s old truck—always showing up right when we needed it, coming to the rescue more than once. We still smile at the giggle we shared when we first met and realized we had the same name—and even the same nickname. You were Virginia, we were Ginny, and we loved saying it back and forth. When someone called out “Ginni,” then “Ginny Hack,” we’d look at each other and say, not me, until everyone finally had to call us by our last names at work.

We watched our children grow, graduate, become parents themselves, and somehow we grew right along with them. We shared simple meals—one plate of spaghetti, cheese and crackers, a bit of sausage—and they felt like everything because we were together.

Even at the end, you were strong—steadfast and full of quiet grace. Oh, how the memories keep flowing. We are so deeply thankful you were part of our lives. You were a true gift to us, and you always will be.

Never forgotten. Until we meet again,
    the Islanders send their love,
with blessings and the biggest hugs to your family.

Rest gently, Ginni. Your strength, your laughter, and your love live on in us.
