Nancy Gail Foster

Nancy Foster, a woman of remarkable strength and an even larger heart, passed away on February 24, 2026, in Richland, Washington. She was a “fighter” in every sense of the word-a strong-willed, hard-working woman who met life’s challenges head-on and always remained fiercely devoted to the people she loved.

Nancy was born in Monterey Park, California on November 13th, 1958 to George Ellis and the late Charmaine Ellis(Carlander). Growing up, she shared a deep and lasting bond with her two brothers, John and Marty. Though she moved from California to the Tri-Cities, she carried the values of family and loyalty with her, building a life centered on the people she held dear.

Nancy had a true passion for her career as a nurse; she loved helping others, and that same nurturing spirit defined how she raised and cared for her three sons.

The love of her life was her husband, Tim. Together they created the traditions that defined their lives. Nancy and Tim shared a fierce love for each other and their sons that created a lasting impact of joy, loyalty, and strength. Living on through their children and the generations to come.

For Nancy, family was her entire world. She was the ultimate “sports mom,” never missing a game and serving as the most loyal supporter in the stands for her sons, Bryan, Kyle, and Chris, no matter the score or the season. Her home was the center of her children’s universe, filled with the warmth of her incredible home-cooked meals and a steady, kind-hearted presence.

Some of Nancy’s happiest moments were spent under the trees at La Wis Wis. The camping trips she started with Tim became the backdrop for a lifetime of memories-a tradition so powerful that her family continues to gather there today.

In her later years, Nancy found her greatest joy in being a grandmother. While she was a fiercely devoted mother, her grandkids were her true passion. She poured every ounce of her kindness and pride into Ivy, Dylan, Ethan, Brooklyn, Noah, Kiaya, and Hasley ensuring they knew they were loved “more than anything.”

Nancy’s legacy lives on through her father, George; her brothers, John(Joelle)and Marty(Kelly); her three sons, Chris(Ashley), Kyle(Shalyna), Bryan(Taylor) and her beloved grandchildren Ivy, Dylan, Ethan, Brooklyn, Noah, and Kiaya. She is reunited in peace with her mother, Charmaine; her husband, Tim; her precious grandchild, Hasley; and her dear nephew, Robby.

Nancy was an amazing person who worked hard her whole life to build a family that would stand together. Her strength, her cooking, and her unwavering support will be deeply missed, but her spirit will always live on in the hearts of those she loved.
