Reefa Emilie Dahl, a longtime resident of Tri-Cities, passed away on February 21, 2026, at age 96. She was born on January 25, 1930, in Valley City, North Dakota.

Reefa moved to Pasco in the 1950s where she started a long and successful career in the insurance industry, working first at Dunning-Ray Insurance and later at AU Smith Insurance.

After retirement, she was able to fill her free time traveling, enjoying her family, and joining various social groups. Reefa remained a Pasco resident for most of her life before relocating to Solstice Senior Living in recent years.

Reefa led a full and active life, cherished many friendships, took comfort in her faith, and enjoyed a wide variety of activities that kept her busy.

Reefa was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, and her son, David. She is survived by son Scott, his wife Lori, and grandchildren Matthew, Jared, Jenny and Danny; her son Kevin and his spouse, Clay; her daughter-in-law Vicki and grandson Jordan. She is also survived by her special nieces Candy, Carrie and Debbie.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to all who enriched Reefa’s life in recent years including Sue, Ben Franklin Dial-a-Ride, her Red Hat social group, and friends from Edith Bishel – United Blind of Tri-Cities.

The family also thanks the staff and residents of Solstice Senior Living in Kennewick, the caring staff at Life Care Center of Kennewick and the Tri-City Chaplaincy hospice team who supported her in her final weeks.

No services are planned. Reefa will be inurned with her husband at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Richland. Those wishing to honor her memory may consider a donation to Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House or the United Blind of Tri-Cities.
