Santiago Ayala passed away peacefully at the age of 92 in his Benton City home on March 11th, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Santiago lived in Benton City for over 40 years. He loved to garden lots of hot peppers, tomatoes, and tomatillos for his homemade salsa and meals. He Also had a small Rose garden and every year he would make sure to cut the first roses of the season for his wife Leodora.
Santiago’s favorite sport to watch on TV was futbol. He would watch any match that was on TV, but Canelo was one of his favorites. He always enjoyed watching his futbol.
He was a loving Husband, father, brother and grandfather. All the grandkids called him “Apa”. Apa loved spending time with the younger grandkids and great grandkids when they visited and played together. He loved to go on walks and spend his day with his wife who he called “ma”.
Santiago Ayala falleció pacíficamente a los 92 años en su casa de Benton City el 11 de marzo de 2026, rodeado de su familia. Santiago vivió en Benton City durante más de 40 años.
Le encantaba cultivar muchos pimientos picantes, tomates y tomatillos para su salsa casera y sus comidas.
También tenía un pequeño jardín de rosas y cada año se aseguraba de cortar las primeras rosas de la temporada para su esposa Leodora.
El deporte favorito de Santiago para ver en la television era el fútbol. Veía cualquier partido que se emitiera, pero Canelo era uno de sus favoritos. Siempre disfrutó viendo su fútbol.
Fue un esposo, padre, hermano y abuelo amoroso, todos los nietos le llamaban “Apa”.
Apa le encantaba pasar tiempo con los nietos y bisnietos pequeños cuando visitaban y jugaban juntos.
Le encantaba salir a pasear y pasar el día con su esposa, a la que llamaba “má”.
