Shirley Ann Molnaa

Shirley Ann Pittman Molnaa, 92, our beloved and proud Mother, Wife, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend passed away peacefully at her home on March 20, 2026 in Richland, Washington. Shirley was born December 1, 1933, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Homer and Eula Pittman. Shirley moved to Richland in 1943 where she fell for the love of her life…”that boy” across the street, Jerald D. Molnaa. Jerry and Shirley both graduated in 1952 from Columbia High School and were wed May 15, 1954. She worked as a secretary out at Hanford until her first child was born and then dedicated her life as a loving mother and building a life with Jerry having four children who have families of their own.

Her favorite thing was spending time with and making memories with her beloved husband, Jerry. As Jerry was fortunate to have retired early, they had many wonderful years together going to family sports games, collecting all kinds of things including beanie babies, birdhouses, Disney memorabilia, McDonalds toys and pins, hittin the slot machines every now and then, and above all…providing unconditional love, support and caring for her family.

After Dad passed in 2010, Mom continued to spend quality time with family, hittin the slot machines every now and then with friends and family, driving around to see familiar neighborhoods and all the beautiful Christmas lights in December, watching her favorite movies, playing with her “make my day” toys, caring for her “fur babies”, listening to Billy Idol, watching the Game Show Network, especially Family Feud, and most of all…doing her Word Seek Puzzles. Oh how she loved her Word Seek Puzzles. She would complete a giant book in about 3 days and move on to the next.

Mom is survived by her sons David (Jill) and Mark (Wendy) and daughter Karis (Vence) Tenison; Grandchildren Monica, Megan, Holly, Dustin, Joshua, Skyler, Jarod and Chase with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mom is preceded by her Parents; Homer and Eula Pittman, Sister; Norma Jean Miller, Daughter; Kimberly Ann Privette and her beloved husband; Jerald D. Molnaa.

Although mom was a loving, caring and generous person, she simply didn’t find it necessary for any ostentatious display of unnecessary ceremonies. One of her favorite quotes was “It is what it is”. As such and per her wishes, services will be reserved for her immediate family.

Mom is now safely in the arms of her Heavenly Father. She now watches over her loved ones with Homer, Eula, Norma Jean, Kimberly and husband Jerry.
