I grew up in the Tri-Cities and have always been somewhat involved with Sunset Gardens. The cemetery was a place to explore as a kid with both my parents being prominent staff members since I was small. I was always a creative kid and I ended up pursuing the arts and received my BA in Fine Art from Central Washington University in 2020 with a primary focus in painting and photography. I’ve always liked being outdoors so working here as part of the grounds crew one summer during college was an experience I enjoyed, especially when I got to find little frogs and snakes in the garden beds. I never expected to have the unique position to use my degree to help families create permanent memorials for their loved ones, and I hope to make the best of it and continue to grow.
