David and I grew up just about a block away from one another. As you may remember, his parents and mine were good friends through Richland Lutheran. We all spent many hours together at church gatherings and celebrations. So naturally it seems as though David has always been a part of my life.
I remember when you, Gretchen, first came to be our church secretary. I remember the group trip we took together to Europe and the Holy Land — and the little hints I was picking up from you then about that special guy back home. That was David, of course. I remember you two as newlyweds. And just recently I was thinking how beautiful it was to see the way you two continued to treat each other with such love and caring through all your years together.
I remember our shared excitement when we were expecting our first children at the same time and when your Peter and my Shane were born on the same day.
I remember David as always there always helping, always gentle, always smiling. He truly was a man worthy of respect and admiration and he truly had both from me. I join you in celebrating his life, and in looking forward to seeing him again. And I share in your mourning that he is no longer with us in this world. It is so hard to believe that he has gone on already.
My prayers are for the comforting of each of you, and for Gods sustaining strength in your lives.
Please accept my sympathy in your loss. Sincerely, Joanna B.
My deep condolences to the family. Dave was a very gentle, thoughtful and caring young man. I regret not knowing him as a adult.
My prayers are with you all during this time of grief.

So sad to hear of Dave’s death. He was a good friend during those wonderful days in Richland and at Col-Hi. May the God of peace grant your hearts comfort and confidence through the Savior. We cannot hear it enough: God dearly loves each of us and has provided for eternal fellowship. In Him we hope.
greetings in His love.

We will always remember Dave for his kind words and friendly smile. Our hearts are with you. We will miss Dave.
I have known David since the 2nd grade at Lewis and Clark. David, Jerry and Dean, Ken, Ray and David my brothers and myself would play cowboys and horses.
When my family Glenn and Doris McCauley moved to another part of town, I had loss a very good and dear friend.
David has always had a wonderful and compassionate heart for others.
My family sends our sympathy and prayers to Barbara, his sister and David’s family.
May our Father in Heaven, Jesus our Savior, and the Holy Spirt continue to comfort and guide you.
Gretchen, you and Dave have touched our lives in so many ways . . . welcoming us to Richland, taking care of Samuel, as growth group leaders, as a constant support to all at Richland Lutheran and in the community.
We are deeply saddened by Dave’s passing, yet rejoice in, and celebrate, his faith-filled life.
Our sympathies are with you, Pete, and Kristin, as you mourn the loss of your beloved husband and father.
Dave will be most sincerely missed.
Dear Kristin, Grechen & Pete, Words escape me to fully convey the sympathies I wish to convey to you. You are in my heart and prayers. Your Dad was so warm and generous with me. He was a shining rolemodel to me when I needed it most as were you Grechen and I will remember his warm hugs of incouragement always. all my love, Bethany
Having worked with Dave for the last 3 1/2 years has been a pleasure. Dave always had a wonderful outlook on life and always managed to brithten my day. He always provided the support I needed, and I will miss him very much.
Dave spoke of his family often and enjoyed being with them as much as possible. I’m so sorry that Dave is no longer physically with us, but I can’t help but feel that he will always be with us in our hearts.
Dave, I will always remimber the help you provided and our friendship, “May GOD Bless You”.

My heart is sad and yet rejoices. I will truley miss my Uncle David. Yet I know I will be rejoiceing with him when I see Jesus. I know all who have met my uncle will take a
piece of his kindness, a piece of his serventhood, a piece of his sport enthuism and pass it around to other. I thank the Lord for letting me have a wonderful uncle.
My prayers are with you. cousin Cindy

I know my parents are deeply grieving the loss of a dear friend. We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Let us know if there is anyway we can help in the coming months.
He was a great man. I will remmeber him for his great smile. And his love of photography.
After all these years I still remember Dave from high school, and it saddens me to know he has passed. Dave was a great guy, and I know he will be sorely missed. My condolences to all his family and friends.
David was always smiling, like he knew something good was happening all the time.
