Edna Louise Roberts, 92, of Connell, died Saturday, May 19, 2001, at the Life Care Center in Richland.

 She was born to Maude and Jesse Nott on April 17, 1909, in Faye, OK, Indian Territory.  They moved to Council Grove, KS in a covered wagon where Edna attended school.

 Edna moved to Washington in 1939 where she married Warren Roberts November 11, 1950, in Aberdeen, WA.  In 1952, they moved to Anchorage, AK where she took in many Eskimo and Indian children beside her own three adopted children.  The Roberts explored all of Alaska accessible by road.  They would load their motor home and 24’ cabin boat on the railroad and go to Whittier for the weekend to fish for shrimp and salmon on Prince William Sound.  Many winter weekends they took the foster children snowbiling.

 She enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, plants and crocheting.

 Edna is survived by her husband, Warren W. Roberts and sister, Jewel Dagley, both of Connell; children, Judy Arroys of Costa Rica and David of Las Vegas;  stepdaughters, Charlene and Sandra; 6 grandchildren, Ursula, Jessica, Brandy, Melissa, Phil and James; and 14 great grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, a sister, and her parents.

 Private graveside services will be held at Tahoma Cemetery, Yakima.
