  • Ellen was a particularly special nurse to me 32 years ago at the old Kadlec Hospital. I had a broken neck and Ellen would come in at different times, just to visit. I learned to love her too. Her memory will always be very special to me.

  • Ellen will be missed by all of us that knew her. I enjoyed talking with her when I would see her walking and visiting patients at the hospital. Mary, stay strong and our prayers and thoughts are with you.

  • Ellen was a great lady with a caring heart and a great sense of humor. I rented the little white house on Van Giesen for a couple years & I enjoyed knowing her. Ellen was a wonderful landlady & I appreciated her willingness to provide whatever was needed. My favorite memory was sitting on the front porch with Ellen and her family watching the West Richland Frontier Days Parade. What a hoot! But now Van Giesen is 5 lanes wide & they don’t have funny little parades anymore, the house is gone, the huge maple trees are gone, the lawn Ellen & I struggled to keep watered and mowed is a parking lot, some of the family members are gone, and now Ellen is gone. But not really gone — we still have the memories. My condolences to Ellen’s loved ones. She will be missed.
