Jack G. Cravens
Jackie G. Cravens, age 65, resident of Richland and drywall contractor/pastor, passed away July 5, 2001, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. Jackie was born to George D. and Ida H. Cravens on March 21, 1936 in Electric City.
He attended the Richland school system. He enjoyed playing sports, especially basketball.
After his school years he began his trade as a drywall installer. He married Carol Sickles in 1953 and moved to Eugene, Oregon. They had 4 children. He became a drywall contractor and president of the Drywall Contractors union.
He moved back to Richland in 1969. He attended and graduated from religious seminars in Canada and Alaska and was ordained as a minister. He expanded into the Hebrew liturgies. He was a member of the Baptist, United Protestant churches.
His last employer was Russ Moorefield of Walla Walla, WA.
Jackie had a great love for horses and the outdoors. He made numerous trips to the Umatilla National Forest.
He was very involved with working towards bringing the love of God into the hearts of everyone who crossed his path.
Jackie was known for his everlasting love of God and joyful demeanor. He always had a beaming smile that would light up a room as he entered. He knew no strangers for his heart was open to all. Hallelujah, God is love!
He is survived by his mother, Ida H. Cravens; brothers, Gerald and Robert Cravens; daughter, Debra Biondolelli; sons, David, Dean, Donald and Dryden Cravens; grandchildren: Kyle, Amber, Josh, Christina, Aaron and Andrew; great grandchildren: Anthony, Alyssa and Aiden.
Jackie is also survived by his second wife, Bonnie; stepchildren, Billy Jo and Chad and 5 step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, George D. Cravens, sister, Dorothy Cravens and first wife, Carol.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. at Einans Funeral Home, 915 By-pass Highway, Richland, WA.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Heart Fund.
Reception to follow the service at 12:30 p.m. at the Shiloh Inn on George Washington Way, Richland.
