Blanche Mae Moss
Blanche Mae Moss passed away Friday, August 31, at her sons home in Manchester, Tennessee. A resident of Richland since 1943, Blanche moved to Tennessee to live with her oldest son, Wayne after her beloved husband of 56 years, Malcolm, passed away.
Blanche was born on May 10, 1914 in Muskogee,Oklahoma. She and Malcolm came to Washington in 1943 with their 3 young children. When Malcolm got work at the Hanford Reservation, they lived in Hanford, Washington until housing became available in Richland.
Blanche worked for the Richland Laundry & Dry Cleaners until the early 60s. She worked several years for the Columbia Basin College office in Richland and was an active member of the Kadlec Hospital Auxiliary where she volunteered for many years.
Blanche attended church at Richland Baptist Church from its inception until she left for Tennessee. An accomplished artist, Blanche loved doing Ceramics, needlework, collecting dolls and entertaining friends for any reason.
Blanche is survived by her son Wayne Moss and his wife Norma, of Manchester, Tennessee, daughter Sandra Ann Laws and her husband Ralph, of Cheney, Washington, and son Larry M. Moss and his wife Kathryn, of Moxee, Washington, nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A concluding service and burial will be at 1:00 P.M. at Sunset Memorial Gardens Viewing will be at 10:30 A.M. on Friday September14, 2001 with a concluding service at 1:00 P.M. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland, Washington.
Dear Wayne, Sandra and Larry,
My sincere sympathy to you and your families. I still remember your Mom and Dad from our Douglass St neighborhood.
I will be thinking of you Friday.
