Leona M. Ethington, 90, of Richland, died August 20, 2001, at Life Care Center of Richland.
She was born Leona M. Carlson in Omaha, Nebraska and grew up in the small town of Ong, Neb. where she met and married Harry R. Ethington.
Leona and Harry moved to the Northwest during the Depression, eventually settling down in the town of Burlington, WA. Leona became the town librarian until her retirement.
Leona moved to Richland in 1992 to be near her son and lived at Columbia Edgewater. She is survived by her son, Paul, daughter-in-law, Pamela, granddaughter, Deirdre, and grandson, Zachary.
There will be a private memorial for the family at Shalom United Church of Christ, Richland.
