Lillian Alysa Mercier
Lillian Alysa Sandbank Mercier, 86, went to join her Lord on Monday, August 13, 2001, in Richland, WA.
She was born on May 30, 1915, in New York City. Her marriage to husband, Paul, took place on February 14, 1943. Paul and Lillian moved to Richland in 1960. She pursued her LPN degree at Columbia Basin College and practiced nursing at Kadlec Hospital.
Lillian is survived by husband, Paul, of Richland. She is also survived by: Susan Rev. William Hemenway of Costa Mesa, CA; Paul Ilona Mercier of Huntington Beach, CA; Philip Diana Mercier of Garden Grove, CA; and Judith Dr. Joseph Tensmeyer of Kennewick, WA. Grandchildren include: Paul Hemenway of Seattle, WA; Mark Trayce Hemenway of Auburn, WA; Jason Vorhees, David Mercier, Alyssa Mercier, all of Huntington Beach, CA; Gillian Mercier of Garden Grove, CA; and great-grandson, Christian Hemenway of Auburn, WA.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2001, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 520 Thayer Dr., Richland, WA.
Visitation will be at Einans Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2001.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Lillians honor to either The Lutheran Hour, St. Louis, MO or the Nursing Program of Columbia Basin College, Pasco, WA.
Paul and family, we too will miss Lillian. She’s been waiting patiently to go home and she’s finally there.
