Mabel E. Doherty
Mabel E. Doherty, 90, passed away on September 7, 2001 at the Legacy House in Kennewick, Washington.
She was born on August 10, 1911 in Erie, Kansas and lived in the Tri-City area for 53 years.
Mabel worked as a secretary for the state highway department, Washington State Department of Transportation and was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church, Kennewick and St. Josephs Catholic Church Alter Society.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Paul Russell, Daughter, Carolyn Thompson, daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Bill Blade, nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, three sisters, Jean Orton, of Stark, Kansas, Tavalee Jones, of Chaunte, Kansas, Elma Hazen, also of Chaunte, Kansas, numerous nieces and nephews. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Doherty and daughter, Ann Mary Jo Doherty.
Rosary will be held Monday September 10, at 7:00 P.M. at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Kennewick and a Funeral Mass will be at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday September 11 at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Kennewick with Father Ronald Patnode, Celebrant.
Mabel donated her whole life to her family and her church.
