  • I have known Charlie for a very very long time, my Dad, Vernon Horstman used to work together and also went hunting together. Charlie was a very special person to me, When my family moved across the street from him, he used to help my husband Morris with his car problems, he was always so thoughtful. He was one of the pallbears at my Dad’s Funeral in 1987.

May God be with you in your time of need, just remember that Charlie will always be in your heart. My deepest Sympathy to the family. I would like to think that right now Charlie and my Dad are remembering the good old days.

  • I met Charlie back in the early 70’s. My grandfather Vernon Horstman and Charlie use to go hunting together. In fact, Charlie was one of the pall bearers when my grandfather past away.

As a kid, I lived across the street and Charlie was always wonderful to us kids. He shared his dogs Buddy, his home and his laughter with my family. I moved back here in ’86 and was fortunate to live close by. I had the opportunity to introduce my children to Charlie and he was just as wonderful to them as he had been to me. My children remember Charlie for his kindness and laughter.

May God watch over your family during this time of loss. It is during these times that your faith is tested. Remember that Charlie will always be with you. As for me, I like to think that he and my grandfather are catching up on old times.

    With much sympathy,

    Cheri Thomas
