Santos A. Garcia Jr., age 73, West Richland, Washington has gone to be with the Lord on Monday, October 15th, 2001 at the Tri-Cities Hospice House in Kennewick. He was born October l8th, 1927 in Somerset, Texas. He lived the majority of his life in Othello, Washington, where he raised his eight children. Santos has lived in the Tri-Cities area for the past 8 years. He was a farm worker in Othello until his retirement in 1990. During his retirement, he was able to help his son and his grandson start up a janitorial and lawn care company with whom he worked side by side until the day of his illness. Santos married Maria Garcia in Texas, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary 2 years ago in December 1999.

Santos is survived by his wife, Maria Garcia; his brothers, Pablo Garcia and Jose Garcia; his 8 children - Hermelinda Guerrero, Eva Benavides, Rosemary Guerrero, Frank Garcia, Anita Morales, Terri Villarreal, Rudy Garcia, and David Garcia; his 29 grandchildren; his 43 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Viewing and visitation will be held at the Einan's Funeral Home in Richland, WA on Thursday, October 18, 2001 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Rosary services begin at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King in Richland. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
