MaryAnn Kimball

MaryAnn Kimball, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at Kadlec Medical Center, Richland, WA on November 17, 2001 after a courageous four-year battle with cancer.

MaryAnn was born September 12, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA, to Thomas and Violet Marusak Viviano. She met her future husband Will Kimball In Pittsburgh, PA and they were married on April 12, 1958. They moved to Richland, WA in 1971 where they raised five children. She was a devoted Catholic and faithful member of Christ the King Parish in Richland.

MaryAnn loved having beautiful things around her, especially artwork of all different kinds. As a professional framer and owner of Richland’s Create-A-Frame for over 21 years, she took great pride in all the art she framed for people. Undoubtedly, many of the pictures on walls in homes and business all over the Tri-Cities were framed at Create- A-Frame. She retired in 1997, early in her career, so she could spend more time with her family, but her plans were abruptly changed as a result of her sickness. Her greatest sorrow was she did not have the time she wanted to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to art, Mary Ann loved collecting memorabilia and antiques, and enjoyed Italian and 50”s music, traveling and quilting. Her friends meant very much to her and she tried to keep in contact with new ones as well as old. She became proficient with a computer later in her life and often used email to stay in touch with family and friends.

MaryAnn was the matriarch and strength in the Kimball family, who loved and guided her husband and children with patience, love and understanding. She is survived by her loving husband, Will Kimball and her five children: Tom and his wife Lori of Richland, Kristine Martin of Richland, Fran Windisch and her husband Chuck of Kennewick, Greg of Phoenix, AZ and Justine Fish and her husband Rory of Bellevue, WA. Mary Ann profoundly loved and was very proud of her ten grandchildren, Haylie and Hannah Kimball; Nick, Cassie and Tanner Martin; Tommy Windisch; Michael and Traci Kimball; and Sam and Griffin Fish.

MaryAnn is preceded in death by her mother and father, sister Rose Schneider, and her brother Thomas Viviano. Mary Ann will be deeply missed by her family.
