Ralph Clayton Kantz

Ralph Clayton Kantz, 85, of Dayton, Washington died Wednesday, November 28, 2001, at Booker Rest Home. He was born October 1, 1916, in Sylvia, Kansas and had lived in the Dayton area three years.

      Mr. Kantz was the chief architect for the Parsons Company.  He worked in Redding, CA, Fairbanks, Alaska, Rhode Island, and then went to Jedda, Saudi Arabia.   He then worked in Walnut Creek, CA.  The Parsons Company was responsible for building the entire Yanbu Industrial City, a new city of some 60,000 people, which was completed in 1985.

On coming back to the States, he took a job with the Hanford plant in Richland.

      He was a member of Westside Community Church and a member of the National Organization of Architects.

  Mr. Kantz is survived by his son, Phillip Kantz of Concord, CA, sister, Mary Marvel Chase of Wichita, KS, sister-in-law, Margaret Kantz of Surprise, AZ  niece, Pat Dixon, and five grandchildren.

  He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Veona, in 1999 and his

mother and father.

 Cryptside services will be held Saturday, Dec 1 at 10 AM in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
