May Grandma Ruth stay in our hearts always…
“So when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart. For every time you think of me, I’m right here in your heart!”
Grandma Ruth was a kind gentle lady who I will always remember in my heart and thoughts. I remember my first communion in Richland very distinctively because of a picture that I have of Grandma Ruth, Joe, and myself in her garden. There are tulips shooting out of the ground behind us and both ladies are full of life and love. There are two things that I always remember about Grandma Ruth: her hugs and her flowers. Her hugs were from the heart. They were given freely and you felt so loved when you received them. I always looked forward to her hugs. Right after getting a hug from her after our trip from Portland I remember walking into the room with every table and counter filled with vases and bowls of amazing flowers that she had picked from her garden. She was so proud of them and always had a smile on her face when she was in the garden or arranging her flowers. I will miss Grandma Ruth very much: her love, her hugs, her smile. She was a gentle, strong, kind woman who taught me very much about life, love and happiness. I love you Grandma Ruth.
