DALE SAMUEL MAURER SR. Richland, WA EINANS FUNERAL HOME Dale passed away at home on December 9, 2001 surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 1, 1930 to Viola and Earl in Bethlehem, PA. Dale served his country in the Army as a paratrooper. Mom met him the day after he was discharged from the service and never let him go. He worked many years on the East Coast as a coatings specialist and superintendent. He traveled the world working for Metalweld and O.B. Canon while raising a family with Emily, his wife of 47 years. He moved his family to Washington state to continue his work with Metalweld, working on the oil pipeline and then at #2 nuclear plant at Hanford. He was a member of the painters union Local 427. He happily retired in 1989 and kept busy rebuilding houses in the Tri-Cities and building and rebuilding his backyard pond. He was a wonderful, caring and well loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife Emily, daughter Debbie Kietzman and Dave, daughter Vicky Phare and Steve, son Dale Jr. and Lori, daughter Cindy Bishop and Bob, and son Ken and DeDe. His grandchildren are Jennifer, Vicki, Dale III, Kristi, Jessica, Megan, Brooke, Taylor, Emily, Colt, Dylan, Raney, Angie and Dustin. His great-grandchildren Tyler, Frankie, Issac, BillieJean and Abigail. His sister is Virginia Fryer of PA. His parents and two brothers preceded him in death. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December, 13, 2001, at Einan's Funeral Home.

I never knew Dale Samuel Maurer Sr. That well. But From what I have heard I can tell he was a father with great resolve to see his children achieve success. He lived a full life, and had a great family. I might not have known him, but I know he watches over his family.
Miss you dad, especially during the season of Jesus and Christmas.
