We Love You Dad
I had known Gary since he and Jackie my cousin were first together — many, many years ago, now. But when I really grew to appreciate him was when their kids and mine were young and involved in sports. The countless hours Gary invested in so many ways in support of all local kids — not just his own — and most especially those involved in youth baseball activities — those hours were hours well invested. And, in spite of the exhaustion, there was so much fun and camaradarie. So on behalf of all the kids whose lives he touched in such a positive way — both directly and indirectly — and on behalf on all the parents of those kids, I say “thank you, Gary. You made a difference!”
To Heather and Austin, I encourage you to hold the good memories of your Dad close to your hearts, share them aloud with one another and someday with the children you may have.
To Jackie, I will be here for you — anything, anytime. Just call on me. I am sorry for yet another loss in your life. Yet, with you, I am glad that all the difficult times are over for Gary.
All three of you and your extended family are in my prayers.
With love from your cousin,
Lynn-Marie Hatcher Foote
Hey Big Brother,
I’m really going to miss you.
You have always had a special spot in my heart. I’m still crying the tears over losing you and I’m jealous that you get to see Christ, mom, dad and others before me. I will see you when my turn comes. I love you so much. Thanks for being a great brother.
I love you and I will do everything I can for your family. Love from your baby sister,Glenda
My deepest sympathies for Gary’s family. He was a great guy and I’ll have lots of fond memories of great camping and fishing trips. Loss of Gary at the holidays is hard, but from my own experience, future holidays will bring lots of good memories. He’ll always be in your hearts. Love to all.
Gary will be missed by all who knew him. Todays services were something that I believe Gary would have approved of. I know I won’t see him again on this earth, but I’m reassured I’ll get to see him in heaven. I’ll bet there are some fantastic fishing where Gary now lives! Love to all and let the Lord carry your burdens in the difficult and trying days ahead. Jackie, Heather & Austin…call us anytime and rest assured Gary is in a wonderful place.
We would like to wish our condolences on the loss of Gary. He will truly be misssed by all. Our prayers are with you, Jackie, Heather, Austin, and spouses. He was a super classmate of mine and I was so happy that I got to talk with him at Heathers wedding. I’ll remember how proud he was to walk her down the aisle. Remember the good times.
God be with you,
Patti, Tom, April and Robert
Dear Jackie
Although we haven’t remained close over the years, friendships we made a long, time ago, when we bought our lots together, run deep. We are very saddened to hear of Gary’s passing. We have many fond memories of all those ball games we traveled to and all the camping and fishing we did along the way. That Bridge Tavern team was awesome. David is sorry he couldn’t be there for the get together and memorial service today. Unforturnately, he is on rotating shift work which will finally be straight days after the first of the year. He sends his condolences and wants you to know if there is anything he can do, just call.
I believe our loved ones are always with us even after their passing. It is just that we will miss them so much until we meet again. I am so glad he got to see Heather and Austin married and happy. That must have been of comfort to him. Take care of yourself. May God give you comfort in this difficut time and hold the good memories dear to your heart.
