Marjorie Merriem Nichols, 83, of West Richland, Washington, fell asleep in death on Tuesday, December 25th, 2001 at the Hospice facility in Kennewick, Washington. Marjorie was born in Livingston, Montana on January 8, 1918, one of six children born to Walter E. and Oletta Laura Marie Merry. She was married to William M. Nichols on October 13th, 1933 at Toppenish Washington. After living II years in various towns in Washington and California they settled in West Richland to raise their eight children. She was a Homemaker/Farmer and a member of Westside Church, Richland, Washington. Marjorie is survived by her eight children: Jack Lee Nichols, Mural Marie Patrick, Marjorie Ruth Kuykendall, Clifford Earl Nichols, Blythe Lorraine Whitely, Janelle Dae Gilley, Darcy Jae Sky, and Miles Barton Nichols; her sister Leanna Joyce Stephens, sisters-in-law, Erma Lee Webb and Tomasine Nichols and a brother-in-law, Theodore Nichols; twenty grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, one grandson and her husband, William Nichols. Graveside services will be held on Saturday December 29th, 2001 at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland, Washington. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Tri-cities Hospice located at 2108 W. Entiat Ave., Kennewick, Washington 99336. Marjorie will be deeply missed by an that knew her and loved her .
