Dear Omar,
We regret that we are unable to attend the service today due to a prior commitment on Jim’s part.
Dorothy was a very fine person. Jim especially remembers the fishing trips with you. He will never forget the way Dorothy backed the camper around to hook up the boat trailer. She was a real pro. Kathy recalls how helpful Dorothy was on addressing day for the newsletter the first years she was church secretary. That was a big job.
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. A memorial will be sent to Northwest Church.
Jim is very pleased that Tom Hudson is officiating at the services. We know that he was a good neighbor and friend to both of you.
Sincerely,
Jim and Kathy Dyson
Former Pastor NWUP Church
This is when I really hope that there is a better place after life on this planet. Aunt Dorothy was always so good to me. One of my fondest memories is a week I spent with she and Uncle Omar when they lived in Moses Lake…I must have been in junior high…Jay was grown and gone….they taught me how to water ski. I had the best time.
I feel blessed to have an aunt like her for so many years of my life.
I only had the opportunity of knowing Dorothy Dendy about 15 years. She is my mother in law. In my living experience with her, I found Dorothy always kind, thoughtful, and loving. She had always shown a deep love for her son, with large hugs whenever we would be together. I am thankful for knowing her, loving her and being loved by her. Thank you God for Dorothy, my mom-in law.
My memories of my grandmother will always be filled with feelings of happiness. She was a very kind and thoughtful person who loved and accepted others without judgement. She was very practical and found happiness in the simple things. My greatest memories of her are of how much she loved and respected my grandfather and how grateful she seemed to have him in her life. Another would be how proud she was of her son, Jay.
She will be missed greatly and though I feel she will never be far, I will miss her smile.
