Margaret T Cleary 85, of Pasco. WA passed away on Wednesday, February 20, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation center after suffering a stroke on February 2. Margaret was born on Feb. 6, 1917 to Thomas and Ellen Cleary Quinn in Cliffside Park, N.J.

Margaret lived with her Aunt Bridget after the death of her mother in 1919 until high school. She attended St Joseph' s High School in West New York, N .J. graduating in 1935. She was active in the speech club and played on the high school basketball team. Her primary area of interest in school was business and she went on to become a bookkeeper working for various companies until her retirement in 1979. Margaret along with her sister was quite active in the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW in Fort Lee, N.J. serving in several officers' positions. She enjoyed traveling and visited England and Ireland in 1972 to see where her parents were born and met with distant cousins and their families.

Margaret never married and lived with her father until his death in 1959 and then with her sister Winifred and husband James until 1988 in Fort Lee, N .J. when Winifred died. She moved to the Tri-cities in 1990 to live with her nephew Dennis and his family.

Due to declining health she gradually moved to an assisted living facility and then to Beverly Health Center.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings; Jack, Thomas, and Winifred.

She is survived by her nephews Dennis and wife Virginia of Pasco, WA., Thomas and wife Patricia of Fairlawn N.J., James and wife Elizabeth of Mt. Dora, Fla., John and wife Karen of Fort Lee, N.J., Maureen and husband Peter of Mantua, N.J., as well as Joan, Thomas and Robert and their spouses of Long Island, N .Y. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, as well as friends.

The Holy Rosary will be said at 6:30 following the visitation from 4:00 to 6:30 P .M. today. There will be a mass at St Patrick's in Pasco for Margaret at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday followed by a grave side service at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 11:30.
