  • My gradparents Elsie and Kenard Hawkins along with Opal and Frank and Hugh and Stella Davies go way back to the early days of Hanford. I grew up knowing these wonderful people. I kept in touch with Opal until a year or so ago and life got busy. I will never forget Opal.

  • I want the family of Opal to know that even though our lives led different paths and we did not see each other for long periods of time, all we had to do was to get together with Opal and the memories and laughter and the good times from the 40″s, 50’s, and so on came flooding back.

I remember, as a kid, how much fun Frank & Opal were and they were such good friends to my parents, Hugh & Stella Davies. Dad is alone now and winters in Arizona. He is 87 years old now and will be coming back to the Tri-cities for the summer. He sends his deepest sympathies, Glenda. If you have time, he would love to hear from you, at this E-mail or 47405 S. Morton Rd. Kennewick, Wa.

  • There are many things in life that take place in the shapingof a persons character. I’m fortunate that Mrs. Drum was there for me when I needed some character shaping. I have heard on several occasions throughout these past few months how thankfull someone was that the Carrigans have been there when Mrs. Drum needed something or someone. The truth is that the Carrigans are thankfull that Mrs. Drum has always been there when they were in need. I love and miss you Mrs. Drum. Ross Carrigan

  • May Opal now rest in peace! I did Opal’s hair for about the last 10 years. She had such a great sense of humor and was so much fun! I enjoyed her visits every Friday morning up until she fell and wasn’t able to come. Will always remember her love for her family and all that the Carrigan family did for her. They loved her like she was their own. God bless you all, Janis Tames

  • Mrs. Drum and I had the same birthday, so we always felt a kind of bond. Although I didn’t know her well, I always enjoyed seeing her at Amy’s house or at an occassional family picnic. Opal always had a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face. She was quietly sly, and there was always more to her than met the eye. Opal was full of life and had an open, honest love for everyone she knew. She had a sharp mind, a great sense of humor, and loved life to the fullest. She always made me smile. She was a neat lady and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

  • My son, Ross, just about said it all – we could never repay Opal and Frank Drum for the many kindnesses they showed my family and children through the many years we lived next door. We shared many happy times and also some sad ones but whatever the need they were always there for us. I will always love you, Opal and I miss you so much. Have fun with Frank and John and some day I’ll join you as well. Heaven will surely never be the same!
