Bertha Mary Lollis
10/21/1916 — 06/06/2002
From Kennewick, WA, US | Born in Rathdrum, Idaho
Bertha Mary Lollis
Bertha Lollis, 84 and a 65 yr. Resident of the Tri-Cities passed on to the big Real Estate Office in the sky from complications with Alzheimer's disease. She is now selling clouds to the Angels. Her last moments on Earth were spent at Kennewick/Richland Life Care with stops at Royal Columbian and Quail Hollow. Many thanks to the wonderful people at those facilities.
Bertha's long career consisted of employment with Dr. Liddington, Dr. McCartney and great friends Shirley and Lyle Mineer before branching out into the Real Estate field where she retired from Spencer Kinney. She would still be selling, but Alzheimer's made her forget where the houses were.
She is survived by her # 1 S.O.B. Son of Bertha Chuck, Jr., sisters Gina, Esther and Norma and long time friend Norma Conrad. Nieces and nephews are too many to mention.
She was preceded in Death by her husband Chuck, Sr., Mother and Father and several brothers and sisters; Gloria, Erma, Arthur, Emma, Gigi, Caroline and Doris.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2002, at Einans Funeral Home. She will be interred at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2002, in Pinegrove Cemetery in Rathdrum, Idaho.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Einans Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to an Alzheimer's Foundation of your choice.

God bless one of the sweetest and kindest ladies I’ve known in my many years.
I know Bertha will be crossing over into many of our lives!
Aunt Bertha was my friend and like a mom to me. We had millions of great times–I will miss her, but I will see her again. To Chuckie my love and friendship, always. Love Mirchele
Chuck, sorry for your loss. She is in a better place and no more suffering. Sorry, will not be able to attend service, will have my Dad at a Chemo treatment in Yakima.
Love and God Bless, John & Linda
If I had known she was this sick, I would have been there for her. I had the pleasure of visiting her at Royal Columbian since she was only a few blocks away from my home. I remember camping with her and Uncle Chuck in the Blue Mts. on Biscuit Ridge. What fun! I also remember many wonderful memories of our nights at Adrian’s. She will be greatly missed! I love you Aunt Bertha!! Love, Erma
I will always regret not meeting Bertha prior to her illness. Even though she was ill and confused most of the time, she was completely delightful. I’ll miss you, Bertha, and your beautiful smile! My love to you, Chuckie. God Bless!
Chuck…we have become our parents.
I was sorry to read of your Mom’s death. May all of your memories be the ‘fond memories’.

The greatest memories I have of Bertha was her unending hospitality, and her way of having so much fun in life. She truly loved people, everyone she crossed paths with were made to feel like a part of her family. There was also never a stray puppy she didn`t take in. When I knocked on her door I would always hear the dogs all 3 to 4 bark then I would see Bertha, always smiling, thrilled to have company. She has left such an impact on so many people in the Tricities, I wonder if I will ever know anyone like her. Chuck, I know you will miss her, she loved you very much. Marleen
I met Bertha in 1983 when she sold us a house in North Richland. I’ve never met a woman so full of life! Bertha was truly one of a kind. She told great stories and made us feel like part of the family. I’m glad I knew her and I’m sorry she’s gone.
I, Cherrie, remember Bertha as our receptionist at Dr. Charles McCartney’s eyecare office for many years as I was growing up. She was such a beautiful, friendly, and loving lady. Years later, I met her at Quail Hollow where our daughter, Laura, is the activity director, and she was the same friendly and loving lady that I knew years ago. What a gracious, special lady she was. She will be greatly missed.
To the Family of Bertha Lollis I send my sincere and deepest sympathy for their loss of Bertha. She was quite a Gal and one I shall remember fondly! She is home now with her Maker and her husband and shed of her earthbound miseries. She is at peace and I pray that you, her loved ones, will be too.
All my love,
Judy
Every time I visited Great Aunt Bertha when I was in high school in the 70’s she always took me to the closet in the hallway where she kept all of her custome jewerly and would pick out a piece for me. I will miss her greatly but know she will be doing great works in Heaven. Take care Chuck, I wish I could be there. Love Cindy

Dear Bertha,
To one fine lady who knew how to love, laugh and live. A true inspiration to all that crossed your path.
There was always warmth in your home, food in your fridge and love in your heart.
My memories of you are fond ones and you will always have a place in my heart.
To Chuckie, The “S.O.B.”, you are just like your Mother, in the way that you are kind, loving, giving and a gentle man. I am proud to have you as one of my very best friends.
Your Forever Friends,
Jean & Wayne
We met Bertha when she was selling real estate for Spencer Kinney in 1990. She had a fun loving attitude, and made shopping for houses a pleasure. She even took us to the “Y” Tavern for a beer! Even though we spent just a few days with her, we will always remember her fun spirit and big smile!
