From West, Richland, WA, US | Born in Everett, WA

Gregg Lee Brower

Greggory Lee Brower West Richland, WA

Gregg, 44, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 14,2002. He was born to Jean and Darlene Brower on December 28, 1957 in Everett, WA. He grew up in Zillah, WA, graduated from Toppenish HS in 1976, and went on to earn a BS in Construction Management from WSU. In 1982 Gregg married Josephine Hastings. He resided with his wife and the 5 daughters that they were blessed with in West Richland. Gregg loved his Lord Jesus, and along with his family, attended Tri-City Foursquare Church where he was involved in various ministries. Because of his love for and devotion to his wife and children, he faithfully supported them by working as a Contract Administrator for Bechtel Hanford. Some of the most enjoyable times of his life were camping, getting together with family and friends, woodworking, golfing, and vegetable gardening. Since he had a fondness for working with wood and tools, one thing he endeavored to accomplish, and did with his wife at his side, was designing and building their own home. Gregg was survived by his wife, Jo; daughters, Tara, 18, Tiffany, 15, Kelcey, 15, Kendra, 12, and Gabrielle, 10; his parents, Jean and Darlene Brower; sisters, Kim Slining from Hood River, OR, and Shawn Marsh from Peshastin, WA; brother, Tracy from Yakima, WA; an uncle, an aunt, and nieces and nephews. He was a faithful and devoted husband and ''Daddy''. He was also a loving and caring son, brother, and friend. Gregg will be dearly missed. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at Tri-City Foursquare Church, 4312 W. Kennewick Ave. in Kennewick. Viewing will be at Einan's Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 18, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

  • Jo, I don’t know what to say. To be away from the body is to be in the arms of our LORD. This may not be scripture but it is true.

I first meet Gregg over the telephone. I was looking for a room mate and he called. Within 5 minutes I knew this guy would work out great. I was right. I regret that we did not get over there to spend more time with you & Gregg.

  • To Josephine and daughters,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Gregg was a great friend, as we had many fun times “on the island”, rafting, and playing cards during our college years.

I remember your wedding as if it was only yesterday. One thing I remember is the priest sprinkling you both with water to bless you with many children. We can see you have five beautiful daughters, you have truely been blessed.

  • To Gregg’s wife and daughters, and especially to his parents, Jean and Darlene and to Kim, Shawn, and Tracy,

Words can’t express the shock and sadness I felt when I read about Gregg in the paper. I practically lived at Gregg’s house when I was growing up, as I lived just up the road from his family. I would ride my bike down to see Kim almost every day during the summer! I remember sitting around their kitchen table playing Sorry with Jean and the kids and I will never forget their dog Pepe! To this day, I still don’t like Boston Terriers! Kim,you know why! What was the most fun was when Gregg and the boy up the road lived in the brick house by the canal would chase Kim and I in the pasture behind the house. I remember Gregg as being the quiet one with always a smile and he had the greatest laugh. Gregg wasn’t a brat to Kim and I like Shawn and Tracy was!! Shawn always wanted to play with us, and we didn’t want her too. Sorry about that Shawn. At the time you were just Kim’s cute little sister, who wouldn’t stay out of the bedroom when we tried to keep you out!! We were pretty mean to her, Kim!! Tracy, what can I say? You were just such a cute, skinny, freckled face little boy, who picked on us all the time. Darlene and Jean, you were so nice to me, I always felt welcomed at your house when I was there even though you probably got so sick of me being there all the time. Kim,I think of you a lot, wondering what you’ve been up to,and hoping life has been good to you. When I think of my childhood, you are always a part of it. You were like a sister to me. I hope I can talk to you sometime and get caught up. Sorry this is so long, but I just wanted to let his family know that I am thinking about them, and I share in their sorrow. It sounds like Gregg was greatly loved and respected by his family and community and was close to God. You can be so proud. He has a beautiful family! What lovely girls! the one kneeling with the long hair looks like Kim when she was that age. Once again, I want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers, and I am very sorry about Gregg. The world lost a very special person, but God gained a very special angel. God Bless. Janet

I am so very deeply sorry for the loss you have suffered. All I have been doing since I saw Greg in the Hospital is praying for the Lords blanket of peace to be over your household. I can’t begin to express what a difference your husband and dad has made in my life. Clear back in December of 1993 Greg drove our youth group to Summit 94 youth retreat. At that time in my life I was a rebellious teenager who didn’t need supervision. I know now and have for years that Greg was our guardian angle keeping us safe while we recommitted our lives to Christ. I wanted to tell Greg so many things while I watched him in that Hospital bed, but I guess I will tell you. I am a changed person thanks to so many wonderful people that God has sent my way and the one that sticks out most in my mind is Greg, the loving and devoted, husband and father and awsome man of God. You will be missed Greg.

  • Gregg is in the presence of our risen, glorified, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I Corinthians 15:1-4 Now I make known to you, brothers, the good news of grace which

I gospelized to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, through which also you

ARE SAVED, if you keep in memory what I preached to you if you hold fast, except unless you believed

without a purpose. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS according to the scriptures; and that HE WAS BURIED, and that HE ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY, according to the scriptures:

Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

I Thes 4:13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, bretheren, concerning them which are asleep, that you sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

I look forward to seeing Gregg again. My prayers are with Gregg’s family.

    IN Christ,

    Jill

I was always amazed ever time I would look at that family picture sitting on his desk at work. What a fine looking family! I will miss Gregg a lot.
