Paul ”Angel” Leija
Paul Angel Leija, Jr., 9 month old son of Paul Leija and Iris Gomez of Richland, was born September 4, 2001, in Richland and died Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at Kadlec Medical Center.
Paul Jr. is survived by his parents, Paul and Iris; grandparents, Corina Verdugo, Pedro Leija, Maria and Rick Ramos; great grandmother, Elena Zuazo; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2002, in Resthaven Cemetery, Richland. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2002 at St. Patricks Catholic Church, Pasco.
Donations may be made in Paul Jrs memory to Childrens Hospital and Medical Center, P O Box C-5371, Seattle, WA 98105.
Paul and Iris would like to thank the doctors, nurses, co-workers, family and friends for being so supportive during these 9 long, difficult months.

On behalf of my family, we extend our deepest sympathy for you, Peter and Iris. We hope that this will be a time to reflect on the strength of your child that hung on for so long and fought every step of the way. His determination was a sign of how much he was loved by those around him. Don’t forget the love of those around you. And remember, your Angel is there to guide and watch over you.
Dear Iris and Paul, I am so sorry for your loss. I can not imagine the feelings you two are going through. My sincere regrets.

I know we don’t know you and you don’t know us, but when we saw this in the paper we just had to write something. We lost our daughter two years ago on June 8th and it was the hardest thing for us to go through. But with the help from our family and friends, and to know that our daughter is in a better place helped us in getting through it. In time the heart does heal. Just remember that your child is in Heavan and he is an Angel. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God bless you.
