Dorotha Faye Rinehart
Dorotha Faye Rinehart, 77, a Richland resident since 1943, passed away on Monday, August 26th.
Dottie was born a farm girl in southern Missouri, near Marionville in the Ozarks. She grew up in a large family with 8 brothers and 2 sisters. She attended Charity, a small country school through 8th grade, graduated from Marionville high school, and studied two years at Southwest Baptist college. At the age of 19 she ventured out to Hanford with her brother Ben to help with the war effort. While working as a secretary she met her life-long love, Earl B. Rinehart deceased.
Together they raised a family of four boys: Steve, Glen, Paul, and Jim, all surviving. She was very active in the Richland community affairs and the Richland Lutheran Church. After her boys were grown, she returned to the business world to have a successful career in real estate.
Dottie enjoyed sharing a good joke. She loved music and writing poetry for others, had a steadfast faith, and played a mean game of bridge. She had a large circle of dear friends right to the end. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2002, at Richland Lutheran Church.
For those who wish, memorials may be made to Good News Media Ministry c/o Richland Lutheran Church, 901 Van Giesen, Richland, WA 99352.
You probably would not remember us but we were neighbors on McPhersoon St in the early 50’s. Your Mom & I had coffee many a morning & kept our eyes on the “kids”. Our son Mark was 1 1/2 then & I think it was Glen that was about the same age. They graduated from Col High in 1969. We still live in the Richland area and extend our sympathy to all of you.
Paul,
I was saddened to hear about the passing of Dottie. I remember her from our PONY League days as always being cheerful and ready to give a smile. I lost my dad 3 weeks ago so I think I can understand your sorrow. Remember the joy she brought to your life and your family and she will forever remain in your heart.
Take care old friend,
Mike Davis
Dear Jim, Steve, Glen and Paul,
Sincere sympathy to you and your families on Dottie’s passing. We will all miss her greatly; she was a true friend. We had many good times with her and your Dad over the years. For Dottie’s family…
We were so sorry to hear of her passing. What a great friend she was! I met and worked with her from 1978 in real estate. She certainly loved and talked about her family. She told us in the hospital that she knew she was on her way to Heaven. What a wonderful blessing for you all to have.

My sincerest condolences. I had the pleasure of knowing Dottie through Real Estate, as well as, through my family. Dottie will always have a special place, with the fondest of memories, in my heart.
